About Me!

I'm Adam O'Neill, I live in the Syracuse, NY area with my fiancée and our dog and cats. We are both dedicated to supporting others, and I absolutely enjoy working with students of all ability groups. I started my educational journey as a teacher's aide in special education over 10 years ago. I am now a teacher and administrator who has dedicated my entire educational career to helping students succeed. During my years in education, I learned that each student grows and succeeds in their own unique way.  Many students struggle with content because they feel disconnected from their teacher or the material that's being covered.  And that's where I come in!

How I Will Help Your Child Grow and Succeed:

More often, students will say "when am I going to use this?" My answer is usually, you probably won't, but that doesn't mean we don't learn from it! Honesty with students is an important concept to my teaching methodology. I use content to teach skills, so for example, using Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to analyze text for multiple meanings or using the Industrial Revolution to teach how scarcity of resources impacts society.  Being able to analyze and contextualize information is an essential skill that students need to take with them as they begin to enter into college and their careers.
