My Mission: My goal is to provide a professional and supportive environment for students who need tutoring in the English and Social Studies content areas. I focus on designing content, material, and lessons for where your child is in their learning, and not where they should be. I make it my goal to push for intellectual independence, so students feel confident going into the classroom or into a test. I do this by making the content and lessons relatable to your child. I take the time to get to know my students as people and understand their interests, their personalities, and their unique learning styles.  My goal is to ensure your child feels secure in their learning and less apprehensive towards English and/or Social Studies.  Once we can accomplish this, the sky is the limit for their success!

Prepare

I design lessons and materials for both English and Social Studies (7th - 12th grade content) in preparation for coursework as well as the New York State Regents Examination. Your child will understand the standards, curricula, and essential information in order to access each content area.

Learn

Once we have isolated areas of need, your child and I will begin to rebuild essential skills, review content, drill and practice, and analyze readings for greater depth and understanding. Your child will learn how to better "contextualize" the readings and apply them to their education.

Succeed

Whether preparing for a class or an exam, your child can feel confident knowing the content.  I can teach the tips, tricks, and insights for the New York State Regents exam, which many teacher tests and quizzes are also based on.
